The Optimists

Peter Sellers stars as a retired music hall star turned street performer who befriends a pair of children (Donna Mullane and John Chaffey) and finds his life forever changed. He thought they needed him … but, as it turns out, he might just need them more. Anthony Simmons directs this sentimental blend of music, drama and family entertainment (complete with a performing dog) based on his novel by the same name.
