Written for the screen by Neil Simon, The Out-of-Towners is witty, uproarious movie that keeps moving at Simon's unusal frenetic pace. Incredible mishaps occur when a middle-aged Ohio couple fly to New York City for the husband's job interview. Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis are perfectly cast as the frustrated and overwhelmed duo. Their plane can't land; they are rerouted to Boston; their luggage disappears; and the hotel cancels their reservations. The list is endless, and Lemmon tries to retaliate by threatening everyone with a lawsuit.
