The Partridge family is eagerly anticipating their vacation after finishing a club date in Las Vegas. Reuben would like them to accept the management's offer to appear for another two weeks, but they all refuse. On the way to the hotel, the bus breaks down. They are towed in to Cal Courtney's garage and he gives them the bad news that they will have to spend the night because he doesn't have the part needed to repair the bus. The family is disappointed at having to postpone their vacation, but there is nothing they can do about it so they resolve to make the best of things.
