The Pirates of Penzance

In this 1994 performance of one of Gilbert and Sullivan's best-known operettas, 21-year-old Frederic (Simon Gallaher) -- an orphan who mistakenly becomes a pirate apprentice -- is eager to leave buccaneer life behind. But his swashbuckling shipmates, led by the Pirate King (Jon English), hit upon a clever plan to keep young Frederic with them. Filmed in Brisbane, Australia, the production also stars Toni Lamond, Tim Tyler and Helen Donaldson.
