From the Actor Rex Lease was studying to be a minister when he was attracted to acting. At age 21 he went to Hollywood, working for several years as an extra before playing romantic lead roles in several mysteries. In this 1937 western, he plays a romantic cowboy who is investigating the disappearance of a miner friend. THE PLOT: When wandering cowboy Bob Crandall (Rex Lease) hits a mining town in search of a friend, he is met with blank faces and some shady goings-on. His search soon leads him to a gang of greedy claim-jumpers operating in the rich silver-mining territory. Crandall wins back his friend's claim but loses his heart to Molly Welburn (Mary Russell) , an attractive outlaw seeking to avenge her father's murder..
