The Sound of Fury

Despondent and chronically unemployed, family man Howard Tyler (Frank Lovejoy) agrees to help small-time crook Jerry Slocum (Lloyd Bridges) with a few robberies, but soon Slocum's disturbed psyche leads them down the path of kidnapping and murder. When a reporter (Richard Carlson) recklessly prints inflammatory stories about the criminals, an enraged mob takes justice into its own hands. Cy Endfield directs this drama inspired by true events.
