The Story of Vernon & Irene Castle

In a musical tribute to the legendary ballroom dancers Vernon and Irene Castle, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers portray the married couple that introduced Paris to the American ragtime style in the early 20th century. Elegantly directed by H.C. Potter, the film was overseen by Irene Castle herself, and features outstanding dance routines and a classic collection of more than 40 toe-tapping tunes from the era.
