The World for Ransom

Unofficially an extension of the television show China Smith, this actioner stars Dan Duryea as Callahan, a private eye living in Singapore. An old girlfriend (Marian Carr) hires him to find out what her shady husband (Patric Knowles) is up to. When Callahan digs deep, he discovers a plot to kidnap one of the world's leading nuclear scientists and hold him for ransom with an ominous consequence for not paying up: the destruction of Singapore.
