Eddie (Brad Garrett) and Joy (Joely Fisher) get a strong dose of reality when Allison (Krysten Ritter) returns home with Doug (Timm Sharp) expecting to sleep in the same room. When Eddie puts his foot down not allowing it, Allison decides that they will sleep next door at Jeff (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Steph's (Kat Foster) house. Adding insult to injury, Jeff invites Doug to fill in for Eddie at school while he is on suspension.
