Eddie (Brad Garrett) and Joy (Joely Fisher) discover a neighbor they never took the time to know has died. When Jeff (Eddie Kaye Thomas) is made pallbearer and Steph (Kat Foster) is asked to eulogize the deceased, Joy reaches out to the widow and offers her singing talents for the funeral. Feeling left out, Eddie tries to find ways to be involved in the service. His talents end up being best used when he advises a kid at the service who feels like an outcast.
