Touched

This offbeat, upbeat romance stars Robert Hays as Daniel, a patient in a mental institution who concludes that there's really nothing wrong with him, and sets out to prove it by escaping and finding work at a carnival. Soon, his girlfriend from the institution (Kathleen Beller) decides to follow his example and join him in the real world. Against all odds, the two misfits begin to fashion a new, shared and almost ordinary life.
