Synopsis >

Turbulence -- When a failing music venue staffed by idiots looks set to close, manager Keith launches a last ditch Battle of the Bands competition. More by accident than by design, musical genius is unleashed by a rapping transvestite, some precocious indie rockers and a bar maid with a golden voice, who together save the world they love. The film was shot on location in Birmingham in summer 2010 by BAFTA award winning Producer/Director team Natasha Carlish and Michael Baig-Clifford, in a co production with Julia Higginbottom of Rebel Uncut. The film harnesses the power of social media as not only a tool to develop characters, but also a currency to make the film and develop the audience. The filmmaking team are continuing their mission to create a new business and creative model for low budget filmmaking by distributing the film themselves.
