A fictional account of a meeting between John Lennon and Paul McCartney in 1976, after The Beatles have broken up. The film represents McCartney (Aidan Quinn) as the more stable of the two, reaching out to a seemingly broken and Yoko-dependent Lennon (Jared Harris), who's resentful at notions of retirement but obviously at an artistic loose end. The two friends chat about their lives and whether The Beatles will ever reunite.
