Upon meeting Vic's mother, Eileen (LINDA DANO - Another World), for the first time, Val tries to impress her. Unfortunately, Val unknowingly causes her mother-in-law to take up drinking again. Meanwhile, Holly's jealousy over Vince's new partnership with his co-worker causes Holly and Vince to reevaluate their relationship. Recurring guest star DAN CORTESE makes his directorial debut.
