While searching for convict James Mac MacAvoy (JEREMY DAVIDSON), who disappeared during a prison yard fight, the team attempts to determine whether he's a cunning escapee or the victim of a sinister inside plot. Despite the prison warden's insistence that the missing man escaped with another inmate during a staged fight, Jack and his team reluctantly agree to investigate as a potential missing person case at the urging of Mac's despondent sister, Laura (ANNE RAMSAY - Mad About You). Laura steadfastly refuses to believe that her brother, who had been serving time for manslaughter, is a runaway, because he had found God and was scheduled to be paroled in two weeks. The investigators also wonder why Mac, a member of an Aryan prison gang, would plan a breakout with a black prisoner.
