Year of the Gun

American writer David Raybourne (Andrew McCarthy) travels to Rome in the 1970s, using the political unrest as inspiration for a new novel. He develops a plot about the Red Brigade terrorist group kidnapping the Italian Prime Minister, unaware that the real Red Brigade is planning the same scheme. When the book falls into the terrorists' hands, David and his photojournalist friend Alison (Sharon Stone) become targets who must fend for their lives.
