In the second season of NCIS: Los Angeles, the team investigates many bizarre cases that would only happen in the City of Angels. The team also faces struggles in their personal lives. The season ends with Hetty's sudden resignation and disappearance, prompting the team to go after her.
At the close of the second season Hetty had mysteriously disappeared. After researching her whereabouts, the team uncovers her whereabouts. Season three begins with a rescue attempt that ultimately reveals information about Callen and his family.
