Daniel and Jennifer have a brief, tense exchange. JJ witnesses and is guilt-ridden, knowing what Daniel is sacrificing by covering for him. Theresa’s anxious about whether Kimberly and Shane are going to force her to go back to California. But her parents want to hear from Jennifer first. Jennifer arrives and surprises Theresa by insisting she doesn’t care what happens to her. Theresa thinks she’s out of the woods, but her parents think she hasn’t been completely honest… Nick is privately rocked when Gabi admits she’s reconsidering taking the job offer in New York. Nick subtly makes it clear she’s passing up a huge opportunity. Gabi finally decides to take the job but worries Will is going to fight her on this. Later, Sonny and Will get a cake for Gabi to congratulate her on the modeling gig, unaware the new job will take her and Arianna away. While Will runs into Nick, Sonny prepares the surprise at the apartment – and gets a surprise of his own when he gets a call revealing that Gabi must move to New York. When she arrives, Sonny angrily confronts her. Kate sees the growing bond between Rafe and Jordan. Later, Kate confronts Jordan about her mysterious past.
Theresa is stunned when she arrives at the pub and finds Shane and Kimberly waiting for her. Along with Caroline, Roman, Hope and Kayla, they stage an intervention of sorts. Shane and Kim are very concerned about her and think perhaps it’s best she return to Los Angeles – even if it means she goes to prison. A panicked Theresa pleads her case. Meanwhile, Jennifer tells JJ once more how encouraged she is by his desire to turn his life around. JJ continues to feel guilty about Jennifer’s new perception of Daniel. EJ has an intriguing business offer for Justin. Later, Sami and EJ welcome Will back to town and ask about his time in the writing program. Sami is impressed with EJ’s support for her son… but their relationship remains rocky. Earlier, Gabi tries to tell Will that her modeling job is in New York but she’s interrupted. Later, she meets with Justin, and he’s upset to learn she’s thinking of moving away with Arianna. He reads the contract for Gabi but draws the line at giving her any advice about custody issues.

Carrie reels over the result of her home pregnancy test – she’s pregnant. She’s clearly torn, knowing the baby is Austin’s but wanting so badly to tell her husband she is in love with Rafe. However, Carrie keeps quiet – about everything. She puts up a good front for Austin while they finish their meal at the Brady Pub. When she steps away from the table, Austin accidentally discovers the pregnancy test in her purse. He’s stunned – and beyond thrilled. He joyously confirms the news with Carrie, who has a hard time covering her mixed feelings. Just then, Rafe and Nicole enter – and Austin can’t help but share the good news. Rafe is shell-shocked as he and Carrie share a fraught look. Nicole, feeling bad for Rafe, quickly ushers him out. Rafe looks back in deep pain as Austin kisses Carrie, knowing he may have lost her for good. Earlier, Rafe drops by Nicole’s to check up on her and her unborn baby. Nicole is glad he no longer has to “play dead” but realizes his main focus from now on will be Carrie. She stuffs her growing feelings for Rafe, and wishes him luck – she can see how much he loves Carrie. Rafe promises Nicole to keep up the ruse of being the father of her child to protect them against EJ. He assures Carrie will also keep the secret. Abe brings Lexie home after she fainted at the police station. Celeste is concerned for her daughter, but Lexie insists she’s fine and doesn’t need to go to the hospital. Seeing Abe’s worry, Lexie consents to having Daniel come by and check her out. While Abe and Celeste head out to get her some soup, Lexie confides to Daniel that she is clearly nearing the end. He confirms she probably only has days, not months, to live. Lexie makes him promise not to tell anyone – she wants to make the most of what time she has left. Daniel agrees. Meanwhile, Roman gives Abe a file, which confirms the tunnel where Lexie was held contains toxic gases. Abe is furious; to him, this proves Stefano is at fault for his wife’s illness. Roman talks down his friend, who is determined to keep this from Lexie. But once she passes, Abe’s going after Stefano full-force. Roman later reports this to Shane and they worry for their friend. At the same time, Abe goes back home to Lexie and she falls asleep in his arms, dreaming of their romantic dance from earlier. John, Marlena, Bo and Hope are furious over Stefano slipping through their fingers once again. Their anger builds as they recount the terrible things he’s done to them and their families over the last 30 years. In their fury and frustration, they vow to bring DiMera down. And when Bo once again points out they won’t be safe until Stefano is neutralized, all four of them silently acknowledge this must happen – no matter what it takes.
At ISA headquarters, Bo and Hope manage to hide just as Agent Harmon enters the office. They watch in frustration as Harmon steals Stefano’s prized coin. Meanwhile, John and Marlena knock heads with Shane over how to defeat Stefano. When Bo and Hope report the coin is gone, everyone is rocked, knowing this is a game changer. Now that Stefano’s in possession of it, he could leave town at any moment and their window of opportunity to bring him down could pass. After hearing Stefano is about to make a deal with an arms trafficker, they decide to set up a sting, feeding misinformation to Stefano via his spy. They hold their breath, praying this will work. Sami tells Lucas she knows he took the fall for Will in EJ’s shooting. She’s not happy about being kept in the dark but she’s grateful for what he sacrificed for their son. However, when she learns Lucas has known all along that EJ was blackmailing Will, she explodes with anger. How could he keep that from her? Will walks in on this and is amused that his mother is angry with someone else for lying. It leads to a fight between them where their frustrations are all laid bare. As the tension rises, Will decides it’s finally time to come clean… and he reveals to his parents that he is gay! Gabi realizes her lie about having a stalker is getting harder and harder to keep up. First, Will all but insists she get out of town until it’s resolved…which of course would leave Chad alone with Melanie. Gabi balks at this. Next, when she pretends she’s being followed, Melanie puts her foot down and says this is a job for the police. Gabi has to do some tap dancing to convince everyone not to go to the authorities. Even though she succeeds, she still has to watch as Melanie and Chad move off hand-in-hand. Maggie informs Melanie and Chad that she bought the day spa.
As part of the ISA plan to rattle Stefano, Billie tells EJ that his father was responsible for the tip that led to the charges against John being dropped. EJ is furious since Stefano had previously denied this accusation. He goes to confront him, and Stefano finally admits the truth. EJ warns he still intends to take control of the DiMera empire even though he’s not a blood relative and will use every underhanded trick Stefano ever taught him to achieve his goal. With the help of ISA technology, Hope uncovers a jeweler’s mark on Stefano’s half-coin. It belongs to an Italian jeweler who has served the DiMera family for generations. Hope and Bo tell Shane they want to go to Italy to get information from the jeweler about why this coin is so important to Stefano. Meanwhile, Stefano demands that Agent Harmon get the coin back from the ISA. Harmon heads to the ISA office…will he discover Bo and Hope? Roman brings Austin to the safe house where he nearly walks in on Carrie and Rafe kissing. While Austin speaks with Carrie privately, Roman tells Rafe he should respect Carrie and Austin’s marriage and keep his distance from his daughter. Carrie makes another attempt to tell Austin she wants to end their marriage, but Roman interrupts before she gets the chance. Once alone, Rafe and Carrie agonize over hurting Austin, but also know in their hearts they must be together. Lexie watches as Cameron bonds with Theo. Cameron explains he worked with autistic children during his residency. Lexie asks her half-brother to be part of her son’s life after she’s gone. She regrets she won’t be able to offer Theo guidance in the future. Celeste and Cameron come up with an idea for Lexie to make a series of dvds that Theo can watch as he grows older.
