Another of the better dancers, Nancy, disappears after being caught going through Mason's files. Mason then catches Kris going through his files and threatens her. The Angels and Bosley find that Mason has deliberately hired theinexperienced and gotten rid of the good ones to make the audition a failure, since he can't possibly pay off all of his investors. Kelly and Julie come to Kris' rescue. They then find and free the three missing dancers. The cast, including Kelly, decide to go through the audition since they feel that they owe it to themselves to at least try. The Las Vegas executives they audition for express great interest in the dancers.
