She later confesses to Maggie that her relationship with Daniel is completely over. Even though Jennifer does not provide any details about what happened, Maggie encourages her niece to talk to Daniel. Jennifer heads back to the hotel room, where she almost finds the bottle of Nancy’s sleeping pills that Chloe used to drug Daniel. Meanwhile, Daniel is roused out of his stupor, and he meets with Chloe to clarify that while he feels badly for having been brutally honest with her earlier, he still believes her kissing him was completely inappropriate. If she pulls a stunt like that again, he will cut off all contact with her. A dejected Chloe starts to leave the town square when she hears Daniel run into Jennifer. Daniel reaches out to Jennifer but is met with a resounding slap to the face – much to Chloe’s delight. Kristen tries to break the ice between Stefano and Brady but it’s a slow thaw. EJ arrives and Stefano asks his son to move back into the mansion. However, EJ isn’t quite ready to do that, especially since he doesn’t want to rock the boat with Sami. Meanwhile, Kristen and Brady make love. Later, Kristen slips downstairs while Brady sleeps and confesses to Stefano that she flirted with John as part of her plan for revenge. She’s about to tell Stefano more about her endgame as Brady comes down the stairs… will he hear the truth? Rafe catches Lucas and Sami in the Salem PD evidence room. He assumes they are looking to dig up dirt on Nick, not realizing they are there to destroy any evidence linking Will to EJ’s shooting. Rafe lets them off with a warning, and later Sami and Lucas regroup, bemoaning the fact that Nick can still blackmail Will into giving up his parental rights. After Lucas leaves, Sami starts to suggest to EJ that they tell Rafe what Nick is doing but EJ strongly points out they cannot trust Rafe to protect Will.
John has come upon a close moment between Marlena and Roman and his displeasure is clear to both. Meanwhile, Stefano arrives at his home, where Kristen welcomes him. She confesses John was here and things didn’t end quite the way she would have liked. After she leaves, Stefano encounters Brady, who makes his feelings for Kristen clear. Meanwhile, Kristen finds John to let him know she’s on to him, coming to Brady with gifts. She warns she’s gotten Brady away from John and that’s the way it’s going to stay. But before leaving, she acts just slightly flirtatious with John… leaving him to wonder what that was about. At the hotel, Daniel rebuffs Chloe’s advances and she goes, complaining to Nancy that he will never get over his feelings for Jennifer. At the same time, Hope convinces Jennifer to go make things right with Daniel. Anne overhears and reports back to Chloe. Chloe realizes she has little time to act, sneaks back into Daniel’s room and slips one of Nancy’s sleeping pills into his hangover cure. Daniel downs it and eventually the pill has the desired effect… Chloe acts fast to arrange things for Jennifer to get an unpleasant surprise. When Jennifer arrives at the door, a disheveled Chloe answers and it appears to Jennifer that Chloe and Daniel have just slept together. Sami meets up with Lucas and tells him the plan she’s cooked up to help Will. However, she needs Lucas’ help to pull it off. They go to the police station and sneak into an old evidence room. They are forced to hide when Rafe enters. He senses something is not quite right but leaves before finding them. Lucas and Sami finally find the evidence the police collected years ago which could implicate Will in EJ’s shooting. They struggle to reach the box on a high shelf… just as Rafe has a sudden realization.
John unexpectedly arrives at the DiMera mansion to find Kristen and Brady just having made love. Kristen privately revels in what must be an intensely awkward moment for John. John remains calm, revealing he’s here to give Brady a memento he picked up while in Europe – a remembrance of Brady’s mother, Isabella. Brady is incredibly touched, and Kristen is privately livid. Once John leaves, Brady wonders to Kristen if maybe this is a sign that John is starting to come around about them. Meanwhile, Marlena confides to Roman and Hope how much she misses John. Hope leaves, and Roman takes Marlena in his arms to comfort her… just as John enters. Elsewhere, Stefano’s plane lands back in Salem. Daniel arrives and is stunned when Jennifer lashes out at him – how could he think Nancy of all people could help their situation? Daniel insists he had no idea of their history but he and Jennifer remain at odds. Frustrated by Jennifer’s reaction, Daniel returns to Maxine’s party and has a bit too much to drink. When he heads back to his hotel, Anne calls Chloe and gives her an update. Chloe races over to the hotel and tries to comfort Daniel… which includes pulling him into a kiss! At the same time, Kayla and Maxine urge Jennifer to go to Daniel and make things right. While Abigail waits for Cameron at the town square, she’s reminded of her intense encounter with Chloe. Chad arrives and sees she’s upset; despite their recent differences he reaches out and she allows it, needing to talk. They connect a little over having lost a parent and that’s when Cameron arrives. She immediately pulls back, hoping she didn’t make him jealous – but Cameron assures he’s not so insecure as to think she shouldn’t have friends. They go out on their date and have a great time together.

Nancy arrives in town to help Chloe. Nancy continues to lead Daniel to believe she’ll help her daughter get over him. But Nick assures his bride-to-be that it’s all in the past and looks forward to a happy future. EJ and Sami plot to get rid of Nick – first ruling out murder, then deciding instead to destroy the evidence implicating Will and set Nick up to have his parole revoked. Their scheming acts as an aphrodisiac, and they make love yet again. Eric and Hope offer Vargas a place in the prison release program, which will ease his reentry into society. Alone, Vargas looks forward to getting out, so he can make Nick pay. Nicole almost confides her feelings for Eric to Chloe, who has come under the guise of mending fences. However, she’s really only interested in pumping Nicole for info on how to get Jennifer away from Daniel. Nicole catches on and is furious – even more so when Chloe flirts with Eric. Later, Eric gently presses Nicole to bare her troubled soul to him.
Sami confides to Eric she and EJ have gotten serious. Her brother urges her to talk to Rafe one more time. Rafe, meanwhile, agrees with Kate that being together is just what they both need right now. She then meets with EJ and they make love. Afterwards, she reminds EJ of his promise to do anything to help her – and says she wants Nick Fallon gone. In private, Gabi questions him about his time in prison, and Nick opens up a little bit more. Meanwhile, Eric and Hope meet with an inmate who is about to be released to see if he’d be interested in Eric’s prison outreach program. Unbeknownst to them, the man, Vargas, has ties to Nick… Sonny finally convinces Will that Nick’s earlier position that the three of them could work out amicable arrangements for the baby was all an act. Kate wonders if there’s something going on with her grandson. EJ confesses to Kristen how well things are going with Sami. Later, Kristen invites Chad to live at the mansion with her, Brady and Stefano.

While Will is prepared to go to prison, he also knows his loved ones will be implicated in the cover up. Sami pulls Nick aside for a private last ditch plea, promising to stay away from her granddaughter. However, Nick refuses to change his mind. In the end, a devastated Will signs the papers. In private, Sonny tells Will he believes the real reason Nick doesn’t want him near the baby has nothing to do with Sami – he thinks it’s because Will’s gay. At the hospital, Kate brings Gabi a gift. Rafe defends Kate when Gabi questions her motives. Later, Nick tells Gabi he wants to marry her tomorrow! Meanwhile, Rafe thanks Kate for being supportive of his sister, and the two make love. At the same time, Nick sends Will a text, telling him they need to settle this once and for all. Earlier, Will tells Lucas and Sonny he wants to turn himself in for shooting EJ but they talk him out of it. After he receives the text from Nick, they meet up with him at the hospital. Nick points out how Will’s daughter would be better off without him and his family in her life. Sami returns and blasts Nick but he won’t back down.
