Still in Barbados after Ross' keynote address, the friends cope with a variety of dilemmas. Ross has kissed his colleague Charlie Wheeler, although she is still officially dating Joey. Joey and Rachel have kissed as well, but they agonize over how to tell Ross. Phoebe's former boyfriend, Mike, has followed Phoebe to the island and proposed marriage to her, despite his being in a relationship with someone else. And Monica has developed really big hair, due to the humidity. Chandler's problem is that he can barely restrain himself from making fun of his wife. Phoebe, Monica and Chandler learn about all the romantic drama by listening through the thin hotel room walls to hear Joey and Rachel's amorous conversation on one side and Ross and Charlie's on the other. Feeling as if he is betraying Joey, Ross seeks him out to confess that he wants to date Charlie. (Original Broadcast: Season 10, Episode 1)
In Part I, when Chandler accidentally erases the only version of Ross' speech from his laptop computer, Charlie must help Ross reconstruct it and in the process, they discover that they have much more in common than their profession. Meanwhile, Joey and Rachel get drunk together after impersonating pharmacists and infiltrating a medical conference for the free drinks. And Phoebe is shocked when Mike unexpectedly travels to the island to talk to her. In Part II, despite the fact that it is the first sunny day since their arrival, everyone attends Ross' speech, which is enthusiastically received by his adoring fellow scientists. Later, Monica and Mike (recurring guest star Paul Rudd) take part in an extremely competitive, marathon ping-pong match, alarming Chandler but arousing Phoebe. Joey develops an unusual acting method in order to impress a famous, pompous fellow actor, Leonard (Jeff Goldblum - "Jurassic Park"), during an audition for an important stage role. Meanwhile, Ross is horrified to discover who mugged him when he was a child. And an unemployed and humbled Chandler accepts an internship at a shoe company, where the youthful interns make him feel extremely old. (Original Broadcast: Season 9, Episode 15)

On the night before Thanksgiving, Rachel's self-centered younger sister, Amy (Christina Applegate - "Jesse," "Married... With Children"), ruins everyone's holiday dinner with her uncensored observations. Amy is upset to learn that Rachel would not want her to care for her baby if she and Ross were to die. Chandler is also offended that he is not considered the best adoptive parent either. Meanwhile, Monica obsessively protects her good wedding china. When Rachel's pregnancy goes beyond her projected delivery date, the pain makes Rachel increasingly irritable--and willing to try anything that might speed the baby's arrival. Meanwhile, Monica and Phoebe place bets concerning the date of the birth. Also, Joey can only take one guest to the premiere of the World War I film in which he stars, and he chooses Chandler. Unfortunately, Chandler falls asleep during the screening, incurring Joey's wrath.
Rachel panics during a party in anticipation of her baby's birth when she realizes how totally unprepared she is to care for an infant. She reluctantly agrees to allow her frustrating mother, Sandra (recurring guest star Marlo Thomas - "That Girl"), to move in to help her, upsetting Rachel's roommate, Ross. Meanwhile, Monica tries to atone for forgetting to invite Sandra to the party. Chandler and Ross exhaust themselves by repeatedly playing a befuddling game in an effort to help Joey prepare to audition as a television game show host.
Now that he has returned to starring in the daytime drama "Days of Our Lives," Joey is thrilled when his name is used in a Soap Opera Digest crossword puzzle. However, he is reluctant to let the magazine do a profile of him, because his last interview got him into so much trouble that he was terminated from his previous engagement with the show. Eager to see her own name in print, Rachel persuades him to reconsider so he can mention her, but Joey insists that all of his friends be present at the interview to ensure that he doesn't say anything controversial this time. The friends reminisce about Joey's past indiscretions in a series of clips from prior episodes. Sasha Alexander ("Presidio Med," "Dawson's Creek") guest stars.
Monica playfully prepares a special Valentine's Day for Chandler, complete with sexy lingerie and racy entertainment. However, Chandler is too shocked to respond favorably after accidentally viewing the wrong videotape: a birthing video meant for Rachel. Meanwhile, Ross has difficulty informing his girlfriend, Mona (recurring guest star Bonnie Sommerville), that Rachel has moved in with him. His scheme to gain Mona's favor with a perfect Valentine's Day date is thwarted when Mona arrives at his apartment unannounced. Also, Phoebe tries to enliven a depressed Joey by bringing him the world's most cheerful dog.

And Ross tries to recover his favorite pink shirt from the apartment of his former girlfriend, Mona (recurring guest star Bonnie Sommerville).

When a concerned Joey takes Rachel to the hospital because of pain relating to her pregnancy, he realizes that his intense romantic feelings for her are excluding Ross from the joys of impending fatherhood. Joey reluctantly makes a gallant suggestion that could change all of the friends' lives. Meanwhile, Chandler becomes obsessed with finding out what is behind the locked door of Monica's forbidden, secret closet.
