Secondly, Oscar-winning actress Joan Fontaine passed away in California. Star of Alfred Hitchcock's classics 'Rebecca' and 'Suspicion,' Fontaine died of natural causes. She was 96.

The Hollywood legend was the star of Alfred Hitchcock's classics 'Rebecca' and 'Suspicion', for which she won an Oscar for best actress. According to a longtime friend, Fontaine died in her sleep at her home in Carmel, California, after having been in failing health in recent days.
