Sami arrives at the safe house and recalls, with sadness, her relationship with Rafe. Meanwhile, Sister Rose takes Imposter Rafe to the Convent of the Holy Cross. He meets with Sister Barbara and is disappointed when she doesn’t know him. He asks if his key means anything to her. She points him to the living quarters across the street. At the Brady Pub, Imposter Rafe grills Will and Gabi about the location of the famed safe house. Though put off by his intensity, Will offers to call Roman to get the address. While Will’s on the phone, the imposter takes out his frustrations on Gabi, who is truly frightened by “her brother.” Will only manages to get the address for the convent. The imposter tracks it down and is thrown when Sister Barbara expresses surprise that “he” has returned so soon. Meanwhile, the real Rafe is walking down the corridor of the safe house when he hears a woman crying. He opens the door and comes face-to-face with Sami!Nicole announces to Taylor that she and EJ are going on their honeymoon. Taylor is floored and EJ is unable to explain that Nicole is blackmailing him. Taylor rushes to her room and EJ gets into it with Nicole over their divorce. Nicole reiterates that she doesn’t want a divorce – she wants to stay Mrs. DiMera. She may not love EJ, but she does love his children and refuses to be removed from their lives. EJ swears Nicole would still have access to Johnny and Sydney but she doesn’t buy it. EJ realizes Nicole has all the cards – and for now he must agree to her terms. Nicole leaves to get some air and runs into Lexie. Nicole surprises Lexie when she informs her that she and EJ are going on a honeymoon – not breaking up. Meanwhile, EJ is forced to tell a reeling Taylor that he is not divorcing Nicole after all. Taylor demands an explanation but EJ can offer few answers. Taylor rips into him, believing he was only playing with her heart. Later, the tension between EJ and Nicole is diffused when they must pull it together in front of Sydney. Taylor sees the family tableau and leaves the mansion for good.
