Ordered to take a vacation on Earth, alien Shep Ramsey, a well-sculpted if somewhat dimwitted intergalactic hero, rents a room in a quiet American suburb and--unsuccessfully--tries to pass himself off as a foreigner to his landlord, his landlord's wife and their two kids. Ramseys stay isn't peaceful because he has such a keen sense of justice, which he dishes out to muggers, reckless drivers and even smart-aleck paper carriers. When intergalactic bounty hunters land on Earth Ramsey must fight to save his new friends--and the universe--from total destruction, Ramsey must become an alien Suburban Commando. Starring Hulk Hogan ("Rocky III," TV "WrestleMania"), Christopher Lloyd ("Back to the Future" trilogy, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"), Shelley Duvall ("The Shining," "Time Bandits"), and WWE's Mark "The Undertaker" Calaway.
An intergalactic warrior, stranded on Earth, poses as a "foreigner" to his landlord, before having to save his new friends - and the universe - from bounty hunters.
THE CHEAP DETECTIVE is a hilarious Humphrey Bogart send-up, blending the plots of Casablanca and The Maltese Falcon with the comedic vision of Neil Simon. Peter Falk is Lou Peckinpaugh, the worldly, cynical gumshoe who takes on thugs, crooks, Nazis, femme fatales and the Golden Gate Bridge in this terrific tribute to Bogie and the Hammett/Chandler school of hard-boiled detectives. An incredible ensemble cast does take-offs of characters made famous by Mary Astor (Madeline Kahn), Sydney Greenstreet (John Houseman), Lauren Bacall (Ann-Margret), Peter Lorre (Dom DeLuise), Ingrid Bergman (Louise Fletcher), and Paul Henreid (Fernando Lamas). Want more? How about Eileen Brennan, Sid Caesar, Phil Silvers, Nicol Williamson, James Coco, and Scatman Crothers - just a few of the many cast members who add to the merriment. THE CHEAP DETECTIVE is the perfect entertainment for anyone who loves Bogart, films of the forties, or a good healthy laugh.
A loving parody of THE MALTESE FALCON and CASABLANCA as seen through the eyes of ace private eye, Lou Peckinpaugh (Peter Falk).
The world's greatest detectives have been invited to dinner. But when murder is on the menu, who will make it to dessert? You are cordially invited to join an all-star cast featuring Peter Sellers, David Niven, Peter Falk, James Coco, Elsa Lanchester, Maggie Smith, Alec Guinness, Eileen Brennan, Nancy Walker, James Cromwell and Estelle Winwood for Neil Simon's hilarious murder-mystery spoof Murder By Death. The isolated mansion of eccentric millionaire Lionel Twain (celebrated author Truman Capote in a Golden Globe(r) -nominated performance) is the setting for the twisted puzzler. Twain informs his guests that one of them will be murdered at the stroke of midnight. The pay-off: $1 million to whoever lives through the night. Murder By Death neatly lampoons both the mystery genre and the characterizations of these instantly recognizable gumshoes. Match wits with the super sleuths, but remember, you can't win if you end up dying from laughter!
An eccentric millionaire (Truman Capote) invites the world's top detectives to his remote mansion in this clever comedy by Neil Simon. He involves them (Charlie Chan, Miss Marple and Sam Spade, amongothers) in a baffling whodunit, convinced he can out-sleuth them all.
