Magic in the Forest -- Magic in the Forest is a live action animated green fable about a twelve year old mallrat named Caty s journey of discovery in the woods. Caty couldn't care less about nature and when her school class takes a field trip to the forest, she can t wait to skip out and hook up with her friends at the mall. While trying to sneak away from her class, Caty is transported back to the forboding primeval forest of a thousand years ago.
There, she encounters Ondina, the magical woman in the waterfall who sends Caty on a quest to find her sister, Sylvina. Together Ondina and Sylvina create the changing of the seasons, and Sylvina's capture by a mysterious dark force in the woods puts the whole of nature in jeopardy. Caty is entrusted with a magical seed which she must deliver to a freed Sylvina in order to ensure that the harmony and balance of natural life continues.
As Caty journeys through the woods, she encounters characters both mystical and historical; depicting both the forest's past and the future. From a visit with an otherwordly Cherokee spirit to the settlers who thrived there, Caty learns that she has an integral part to play in the life of the planet. Each encounter makes her realize a bit more how important it is to 'do your part.' Caty learns what it means to be a caretaker of the forest and finds a magic she never could have dreamed.
