Students at USC were planning a sit-in on Monday to protest the LAPD € s response to a party near the campus over the weekend. The students claim that the incident, which happened near West 23rd and Hoover Streets, was a case of racial discrimination. They told the Daily Trojan that police were lined up to break up a house party around 2 a.m. on Saturday. Video taken by witnesses, which was posted to YouTube, shows a large number of officers responding.

RAW VIDEO: Five firefighters have been hurt battling a four-alarm blaze in west Baltimore. Battalion chief Kevin Cartwright says the fire in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue was reported about 5:50 p.m. Monday in a three-story brick building. Cartwright says firefighters found heavy smoke on all three floors, and shortly after an evacuation was ordered, there was a complete building collapse. The spokesman says five firefighters were hurt.

West Virginia billionaire Jim Justice made his fortune in coal and agriculture, and he is revered in his home state as the man who rescued the historic Greenbrier resort from bankruptcy. But his coal operations in Appalachia are struggling as business owners have filed at least nine lawsuits since late 2011 claiming they are not being paid for work at Justice mines. Still others say they are owed money but haven't yet sued.
