Earl (Jason Lee) realizes that he had been cheating the government by failing to pay his taxes in the past. After adding, "cheating the government" to his list, Earl becomes determined to pay the government what he owes, but apparently they don't want his money. Earl's attempts to settle his debt leads him to conjuring up unconventional payback methods. Ethan Suplee, Jaime Pressly, Nadine Velazquez, and Eddie Steeples also star.

Earl isn't the only one narrating in this whodunit episode of "My Name is Earl." Earl (Jason Lee) is surprised to discover that some "treasure" he had once stolen has disappeared from where he buried it. Joy (Jaime Pressly), Darnell (Eddie Steeples), and Randy (Ethan Suplee) all take turns giving us their sides of the story as the true events begin to unfold. It's an episode full of intertwining stories as Earl tries to discover who stole his stolen "treasure" so he can cross it off his list.

Earl (Jason Lee) sets out to make up for number 147 on his list, "shot Gwen Waters (guest star Miriam Shor) with a BB gun." To do so, Earl must reunite Gwen with her estranged father. Getting the father to cooperate proves incredibly difficult, but Earl refuses to give up, in part, because Earl remembers why he used to have a crush on Gwen Waters. He always liked to see her smile. Ethan Suplee, Jaime Pressly, Nadine Velazquez, and Eddie Steeples also star.

When Earl (Jason Lee) watches Catalina (Nadine Velazquez) give the motel maid a facial wax, he decides to make amends for number ninety-one on his list -- "made fun of Maggie Lester (guest star Judy Greer, "13 Going on 30," "Adaptation")" for having a moustache. Earl and Randy (Ethan Suplee) pay Maggie a visit and find out she is working in the Witzel Traveling Carnival as "The Amazing Bearded Woman" but has dreams to work in another "normal" field. Joy (Jaime Pressly) and Darnell (Eddie Steeples), meanwhile, deal with the repercussions of Joy's breaking the law.
