The Janitor sabotages J.D.'s video diary for his Mom - Markie Post "People's Court") guest stars -- After J.D. Meanwhile, when mistakes by the interns begin to reflect badly on her, Elliott (Sarah Chalke) cracks the whip on her charges and even resorts to using her mother Lilly (Markie Post) to lean on Keith (Travis Schuldt) for information about his peers. The hilarious combination of John Ritter, Night Courts Markie Post and Billy Bob Thornton fuels this warm and witty television series about the ups and downs of small-town life from the creator of Designing Women! John and Georgie Anne Hartman (Ritter and Post) keep the sparks burning at home and at work as they run the local newspaper with the help of John's best friend, Billy Bob, cynical advice columnist Madeline (Conchata Ferrell, Two and a Half Men) and neurotic printer Lonnie (Leslie Jordan, Will & Grace). In this episode, after Georgie gives birth to Amelia Rose, the baby's big ears convince John that his daughter was switched with a circus family newborn.

While Elliott (Sarah Chalke) and Turk's (Donald Faison) parents pay a visit to see them present at a medical conference, J.D.'s (Zach Braff) father Sam (guest star John Ritter, "Three's Company") makes a surprise visit, leaving all three interns in a state of emotional distress as old parental behaviors come into play. Meanwhile, Carla gets the biggest shock of them all when she discovers she is exactly like Turk's mother (guest star Hattie Winston). John C. McGinley and Ken Jenkins also star. Markie Post also guest stars as Elliott's mother, Lily.

Glitz was a disappointment for fans of the Elmore Leonard novel on which it was based. Jimmy Smits stars as a savvy Miami police detective Vincent Mora, who is wounded in a shoot-out. Convalescing in Puerto Rico, Mora falls in love with a beautiful woman who later dies under suspicious circumstances. Unable to pursue the case officially, Mora conducts a private investigation of the case. Along the way, he makes the acquaintance of a sprightly lounge singer (Markie Post) and a seriously disturbed ex-con (John Diehl).
