It's been four years since the gang left Tree Hill, and many things have changed. Lucas (series star CHAD MURRAY) has published his first novel, ""An Unkindness of Ravens,"" and now works on his second. Along with Skills (series star ANTWON TANNER), Lucas also coaches his former high school basketball team, vowing to take the squad to another championship. Peyton (series star HILARIE BURTON), who is at the beginning of a budding music venture, loved two things when she graduated from high school: Lucas and music. But did leaving Tree Hill for an internship at a record company in Los Angeles change her mind about either passion? Peyton's best friend Brooke (series star SOPHIA BUSH) has been chasing her dream of becoming a top fashion designer with her clothing line Clothes over Bros. Four years later, Brooke finds herself at a crossroads; she has found some success, but at what cost? Nathan (series star JAMES LAFFERTY) and Haley (series star BETHANY JOY GALEOTTI), young parents who are trying to find their way

The opening of Karen's club, TRIC, brings the people of Tree Hill together. Lucas and Felix (recurring guest star Michael Copon) engage in an altercation over Anna (recurring guest star Daniella Alonso).

After dare night resulted in new relationships, Lucas shares a romantic evening with Anna (recurring guest star Daniella Alonso) during a midnight meteor shower. Andy (recurring guest star Kieren Hutchison) surprises Karen with dinner, and Keith cooks for Jules (recurring guest star Maria Menounos) on their first date. Brooke forms a mutually beneficial relationship with Felix (recurring guest star Michael Copon), and Peyton searches for an opening act for her club.

Keith has a violent confrontation with Dan after learning that Dan paid Jules (recurring guest star Maria Menounos--not appearing in this episode) to have an affair with Keith. After discovering that Felix (recurring guest star Michael Copon) defaced Peyton's locker, Anna (recurring guest star Daniella Alonso) reports his actions to school authorities. Meanwhile, Lucas and Brooke discuss the possibility of her permanently leaving Tree Hill. And Nathan decides to bring Haley home. Series star Paul Johansson directed the episode.

Nathan's Uncle Cooper (Michael Trucco - "Pensacola: Wings of Gold") visits Tree Hill to take Nathan and Lucas on an auto racing trip. On the track, Nathan and Lucas are challenged to a contest by beautiful Daytona (Schuyler Fisk - "Orange County") and her obnoxious brother Garrett (Stuart Lafferty, series star James Lafferty's real-life brother), but things go horribly wrong when Nathan loses control of his car and crashes into a wall. Meanwhile, Deb's addiction to pain pills intensifies, and Dan exposes Andy's (recurring guest star Kieren Hutchison) relationship with Karen to Andy's class.
