Marlena is recovering from her near paralysis/coma. She wakes up confused, and doesn't know who John is, at first. John and Lexie discuss Marlena's situation. John stays with Marlena in the hospital, still unable to relax. John thinks Marlena seems like a different person. Stephanie and Max are in the French jail. Stephanie tries flirting with the guard, but it does not work. Another guard recognizes her from her days as a racecar driver, and sneaks her a cell phone. They discover Nick is in town. Melanie and Michelle are sizing up Nick. Recognizing Melanie, Nick comes over and offers to buy them a drink. Nick pretends he has a lot of money and Melanie goes for it, always looking for a guy to foot her bills. Nick receives a phone call from Stephanie and Max who are in jail. Nick tells them he is on his way to help. Melanie questions Nick about the call trying to find out information about him. Melanie agrees to show Nick where the police station is. Nick and Melanie arrive at the station, and Melanie and Step

Bo questions Philip about his involvement with Morgan. Considering the circumstances surrounding her father, Bo thinks maybe Philip should back off. Philip argues he had nothing to do with Paul's disappearance and he cares for Morgan. Philip doesn't really care what Bo thinks. Philip takes Morgan home to the Kiriakis mansion and takes her in his arms. Later, Bo meets with Steve and confides in him about what he's done. Bo tells Steve he gave away police evidence in order to protect his little brother, Philip. Ava tells John she's worried about her future. Ava wants to skip bail and flee the country. John won't run from the law. He's going to beat the drug charges and he promises to help Ava fight the charges against her. Steve and Kayla can't sleep due to an argument they had over Ava. After Steve and Kayla apologize to one another, Steve realizes Ava's return has thrown them for a loop but insists they move on and focus on their lives. Marlena and Roman drop by. Nicole is kissing EJ. EJ thinks she's crazy. Victor could walk in at any moment. Ava shows up ready to party with her new best friend. The girls head to Java Caf , lamenting the lack of night life in Salem. Nicole decides they need to make a party of their own. They end up in Ava's hotel room, party boys in hand. The guys want to drink and dance. Later, they send the guys out and Nicole and Ava commiserate over their lonely, empty lives. Ava reveals the only date she's made is with a married man: John Black. Nicole is twigged. Nick, Max and Stephanie arrive for a book signing event. Max finds out Dean Robbins is the author and wants to leave. Nick calls him on it. Nick introduces Max to Dean Robbins and the dean begins his event. He summarizes his theory and begins signing his books. After everyone is gone, Max comes back and rips into Dean Robbins. He tells him his book is a load of garbage and he's nothing but a fraud. Bo and Hope arrive at the DiMera mansion, search warrant in hand. While Bo is upstairs, J

Chelsea finds out Daniel will no longer be her doctor and tries to cover her heartbreak. She calls him on his cell phone to ask why. Daniel is at the Brady pub and can only tell her it's time for both of them to move on to a new chapter in their lives. But Lexie, who is there dining with Abe, can see he's starting to have feelings for Chelsea that he can never act upon. An upset Chelsea calls Stephanie and shares her suspicions, that Daniel dumped her as a friend because she's damaged goods. Stephanie goes and accuses Daniel of being a bad doctor and an even worse friend. Daniel just stands there and takes it. Bo is devastated that Chelsea cannot have children and blames himself. Hope brings Ciara to see Chelsea. The baby comforts Chelsea, as does Nick, who vows to love Chelsea no matter what. Chelsea feels a little better, but is still stung by Daniel's rejection. Hope and Bo renew their love for each other but Hope cannot comfort Bo. Stephanie and Max reaffirm their love and make love for the first time. To

Ava has planned a romantic dinner. She wants "Kayla" to watch and be jealous like she has been all these years. Hope acts jealous from the sidelines. Ava tells Steve she paid off the guy he had protecting his daughter. Steve tells her if she's trying to get him back, threatening his family is not the way to do it. Ava has a slideshow of the good old days playing throughout their dinner. She wants Steve to remember how much he once loved her. Ava and Steve remember the first time they kissed and made love. Steve pretends to be moved by the memory and kisses Ava. Hope stops the make out session and pulls out a picture of the real Kayla's ultrasound. Steve is affected. Stephanie's very worried about her mom and dad. Max tells her not to worry. He will protect her. Besides, Stephanie's dad is a sharp guy and he can handle things. Bo and Kayla are worried sick about Hope and Steve. Victor comes to visit Bo and Bo asks what he knows about the Vitali family. Victor tells Bo they're a mob family and very dangerous. B
