A sexploitation empire is threatened when its nude centerfold models are mysteriously murdered in "Lady Killer," on "Charlie's Angels." Angel Jill becomes a candidate for the centerfold of Feline Magazine, hoping to tempt the hand of the murderer of two previous models. There are many suspects on the magazine's staff and the in fighting is so intense that attempts on the lives of undercover employees Kelly and Sabrina further cloud the investi-gation. A waterbed is wired to electrocute Sabrina, and Kelly gets into trouble posing as a standup comedienne at the Feline "Kitty" Club. During the confusion Jill finds herself nearly alone - facing a killer who murders, then mutilates models with a pair of pinking shears. Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith star as the Angels, Sabrina, Jill and Kelly, respectively, who work for Charlie, an unseen and very sophisticated boss who phones in their instructions. David Doyle stars as Bosley, Charlie's harried assistant.

The competition gets colorful when the stylists get creative with hair color, using a bright palette of greens, blues and purples on their clients during the short cut challenge. Emmy-award nominated actress Kate Jackson joins Jaclyn Smith as guest judge for a mini Charlie s Angels reunion, where the stylists must recreate modern versions of the famous signature Charlie s Angels looks for the elimination challenge. Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith star as Jill, Sabrina and Kelly, beautiful ex-policewomen, who are hired as private investigators by a mysterious Dyer known as Charlie. Charlie sends his trio of "angels" on tough assignments which may require the "feminine touch." All arrangements are made by phone, or through Woodville (Stiers), the only person who knows Charlie's identity. The other male on the private-eye team is Bosley. The scene of the current project is a huge vineyard estate in California. Charlie's client wants to prove that the missing owner, Vince Lemaire, was murdered by his wife, Rachel (Muldaur), and foreman, Beau Creel (Hopkins). Team sets up a sophisticated caper in which Jill, Sabrina and Kelly assume character roles from kidnapper and wealthy heiress to dowdy secretary. Woodville and Bosley join the caper in various business roles. If you liked the Australian thriller Dead Calm, then the look-alike American TV movie Adrift will probably tickle your fancy as well. Kate Jackson and Kenneth Welsh play a honeymooning couple, relaxing on their yacht in the South Pacific. When they come upon a shipwrecked couple (Bruce Greenwood and Kelly Rowan), the newlyweds pull the castaways on board their vessel. That's their first mistake; the castaways are evil incarnate, and they proceed to put the young marrieds through hell. Management consultant Diane Keaton has no time in her life for anything except her high-profile job. All this changes when she inherits a 14-month-old infant from a pair of recently deceased-and very distant-relatives. Intending to put the child up for adoption, she discovers that she has grown fond of the kid and has begun to thrive on the responsibilities of motherhood. All of this, of course, jeopardizes Keaton's love life and professional standing, but all turns out well when the baby inadvertently leads to a whole new moneymaking agenda for our heroine. Capraesque in concept, Baby Boom avoids phony sentiment and obvious humor, emerging as one of the singular comic delights of the late 1980s. On great bit has Keaton celebrating a major business coup by surreptiously performing an under-the-table jig (a bit of business that dates back to the 1924 Reginald Denny comedy Skinner's Dress Suit).
