I have been bowling since I was 17 years young. I have a true story that I would like to share with you. It began about 1984. I worked and bowled with a good friend named Dale Hicks. I bowled with Dale on a league at a local bowling alley. He gave me a nickname (Whammy) because of my style of bowling. Every week on the last ball of the night he would bowl between his legs. One day, my boss calls me and says Dale is in the hospital. He soon passed on. At his wake, people from all around shared a story how this man touched their lives. Dale may have been small in stature, but he had a heart of a giant. In Dale's memory I started bowling between my legs in practice games. People were touched when I shared my story with them and why I was bowling between my legs throughout Illinois and Missouri. I practiced enough that I was getting 5-6 strikes a game. I wanted to dedicate a good enough game to Dale. I was practicing at Strike & Spare Lanes in St. Louis, MO when I bowled a perfect 300 game (between my legs). There was a man and woman next to me bowling and witnessed what I had done. I took the print out to the couple and he wrote "Bowled this game between the legs" then signed his name. I hope this is a reminder that anything is possible if you want it bad enough. I took the printout and wrote I could not have it without you Dale then had it put on a nice plaque. I hope you enjoyed the story. Please pass it along. (Whammy) The video is NOT my 300 game that I have recorded.
